A digital project by Stiftung Galerie Benedikt
Our Foundation is looking for a web developer / software developer with an interest in art and digital culture to help us create a virtual gallery presenting artists supported by our foundation.
We would like to bring the work of these artists to a wider international audience through a professionally designed and accessible online exhibition space.
The Project
Our vision is to create a virtual gallery where visitors can discover artists, explore their work and learn more about their artistic development.
The project could include, for example:
virtual exhibition spacesindividual artist presentationsdigital artworks and exhibition cataloguesimages, texts and biographical informationan intuitive and contemporary user experiencemobile and desktop accessibilitythe possibility of expanding the gallery with new artists and exhibitions over time
We are open to different technical approaches and would welcome someone who can contribute their own ideas and expertise to the project.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an IT specialist, web developer or software engineer who would enjoy contributing technical expertise to a cultural and artistic project.
You might be a professional developer, an experienced freelancer, a student, or simply someone with strong technical skills who would like to use them for a meaningful cultural project.
Experience with areas such as web development, 3D environments, virtual exhibitions, interactive websites, UX/UI or digital art platforms would be valuable, but we are also interested in hearing from people with other relevant technical backgrounds.
A Volunteer Contribution
At this stage, unfortunately, we are not able to offer financial compensation for the development work.
We are therefore looking for someone who would be interested in contributing on a voluntary basis and becoming part of a cultural project supporting artists and international artistic exchange.
In return, we would be happy to acknowledge the developer or development team on the project and on our website, subject to agreement.
The scope and technical concept of the project can be discussed together. We are not necessarily looking for someone to build everything alone; collaboration and developing the concept together are very welcome.
